The Mocha is unique in design with a heavy front brass bolster that extends across the spine and has a flattened edge for increased downward cutting pressure. The round brass rear pommel allows better hand rotation of the back palm area to accommodate a natural carving motion and the Mocha Wood handle feels comfortable in the hand. The  black leather sheath is cut to accommodate the front bolster and is adorned by a gold imprinted Cretan Bull image.

Natural Mocha Wood handle with extended brass front bolster and brass pommel. The flattened spine extension is designed to allow extra downward cutting force. The mov6-c60 stainless steel blade is etched with inscription and a Cretan Matinada. Comes with a matching leather scabbard and is available in two sizes.

A Mantinada is the art of musical declamation in form of a narrative or dialogue, sung in the rhythm of accompanying music. It is prominent in several parts of Greece, especially on the island of Crete where mantinades are performed in accompaniment of the Cretan lyra and Cretan laouto.
