The Queen is a heavy duty thick blade knife with a finger grip Keratin handle centered between husky brass bolsters. The front brass bolster extends over the crosshatched spine onto the stainless steel blade, laser etched with a Cretan Matinada and eagle. The butt end brass bolster is molded in the Cretan “V” and adorned with an embellished Rams Head. Available in three different Keratin patterns and sizes, it also comes with a custom wooden blade cover.

Keratin is one of a family of fibrous structural proteins found in vertebrates. It is the key structural material making up hair, nails, horns, claws, and hooves. Keratin is extremely insoluble in water and organic solvents.

A Mantinada is the art of musical declamation in form of a narrative or dialogue, sung in the rhythm of accompanying music. It is prominent in several parts of Greece, especially on the island of Crete where mantinades are performed in accompaniment of the Cretan Lyra and Cretan Laouto.
